Hot Bamboo Massage
The smooth, heated sticks allow for more penetrating maneuvers than a hands-only massage—with the bamboo sticks as an extension of the hands, therapists can easily palpate, find tension, and dissolve knots and trigger points. The massage can be as deep as necessary.

Because bamboo holds heat longer than stones, this method is more effective for reducing muscle tension than hot stone massage.

What to Expect
The bamboo sticks are heated to an optimum temperature, then used to knead and stretch muscle and fascia in all directions. Because the muscles immediately react to the heat, there is minimal “warm-up”  time with this method, allowing the therapist to apply deeper pressure right away.

The heat causes blood vessel dilation within the tissues—which helps flush metabolic waste—but we recommend drinking water after the massage to further cleanse the tissues.
