What to Expect
The therapist will first warm up the muscles with lighter pressure, then move into the deep tissue work: gliding pressure along the length of the muscle, followed by cross-grain friction. Clients may be asked to adjust their breathing or posture to make certain problem areas more accessible. Unless there is a specific area mentioned, the therapist will address the whole body. Clients will start face-down and then flip onto their backs halfway through the session. After the session, we recommend that clients drink water to help flush the waste worked out of the muscles. This will reduce the likelihood or intensity of post-massage soreness. |
